NGOs are increasingly realising that they need to be more involved in community based natural resource management and several other stakeholders have made a call for NGOs to be more involved. In it in this context that IUCN Botswana has initiated a study under its HIVOS funded NGO Support Programme which will focus on how environmental NGOs are involved in community based natural resource management, as well as make recommendations for how NGOs can be more involved in the future.
The study will be carried out between February - May 2000. The findings of the study will be presented on this website and at the NGO Conference on the Environment end July, 2000.
